May is Mental Health Awareness Month. It was brought about in 1949 as a means to raise awareness of mental health issues and the need for prevention, early intervention, and treatment. As our community has been impacted by Covid-19, many people are more stressed, depressed and anxious. Back to Basics is here to help support our clients and community with the benefits of massage; physically, mentally, and emotionally. 
Mental & Emotional Benefits of Massage:

-Promotes better sleep /Sedative to the nervous system
-Induces mental relaxation
-Improves concentration

 As well as  in office therapeutic and relaxation massages, we also do corporate chair events and volunteer in the community. One of our therapists, Janelle, recently had the opportunity to support a local program,  Helping Young People Excel, dedicated to helping the community with health and emotional issues. Janelle volunteered her time and massage for the grand opening of new offices for H.Y.P.E. (in the Monroe Medical Plaza) to help promote the awareness of the importance of self care to one's overall well-being.
